* A Programmer Thing

from a conversation with a non-programmer colleague recently:

Him: "It's one of those tasks... whaddayacallit? Impossible to finish, like... <mimes pushing a rock uphill>"

Me: "Sisyphean?"

Him: "Yeah! That! See, you've heard of it, & Andy's heard of it... is it a programmer thing?"

<pause>

Me: "You know, I think it very well might be."
